Can other races be affected by the Contagion the Mordesh have???

Word of God is that currently the Contagion only affects Mordesh. Pappy has implied that that may not always be the case, though.

Basically, the Contagion is an assortment of pathogens native to the Mordesh that were also granted immortality by the Everlife Elixir, and from there they mutated into the collective symptoms of the zombie-like Ravenous. The simple fact that most bacteria and viruses are not capable of crossing from one species to another means that the Contagion doesn’t affect anyone other than Mordesh.

There is a piece of lore in-game that implies some concern over the Contagion having some affect on animals (it would stand to reason that some components of it are zoonotic to Grismaran animals) or at least being carried by them, however the context is an ad for a product to prevent that so the truthfulness of it is questionable at best.

Tim Cain, creator of Fallout, apparently worked on Wildstar 2007-2011

It’s true! While there’s no source Wikipedia does mention it, and if you search “Tim Cain Carbine” you’ll get a number of hits including this. Bear in mind that the game wasn’t called WildStar until somewhere around 2009-2011-ish so most of the references say “unnamed Carbine MMO”. It seems he was the programming director at first and then was design director. Leaving in 2011 means he left around the time of the earliest testing phases, or possibly before they even started at all.
